100% throwing shade at a friend who prolly won’t see this but barry’s banned from the kitchen because he wanted to make pancakes but isn’t allowed to use the stove, so he tried to microwave them instead. it didn’t work, but he ate them anyway. it was like cornbread.

usually when a cashier says “hi how are you?” i just respond with “hi! ” and i always try to be polite but should i say more? i’m just worried that it’s kinda dismissive

Hmm this opinion probably differs for everyone. Personally, I don’t care if the customer asks how I am because in reality I don’t care how they’re doing. Although, saying “hi” at the start of the interaction makes a big difference, makes me feel like I’m being treated like a real person. As long as you’re polite throughout the interaction, I’m sure you’re good!

Anyone else have any thoughts?

absolutely! i mean, he’s at least somewhat skilled with engineering (building a drift device from garbage) and i always pictured one of his infamous and vague phds being in chem (which you do need a bit of math for) so i imagine that even if he doesn’t actively enjoy math, like hermann does, he knows what he’s doing. however: does he pretend otherwise, probably just to annoy hermann? yes
