Get ready for the dog days of summer!
Celebrate those loyal, loving, furry friends by posting fan creations of the Aziraphale and Crowley with dogs on April 30th, which is "Adopt a Shelter Pet Day!” Art, fic, and anything else you create is welcome using #Doggomens!
This is a low stakes event! Sketches, vague ideas, moodboards- everything is welcome! Let's just celebrate good times with the goodest boys (gender neutral) ❤️🐕
Here me out:
What if Crowley and Aziraphale decide to tie the knot and make things official and when word gets out to Heaven and Hell, they spin it like a war tactic.
Crowley:Just corrupting this Angel, within a ceremony he will be mine- ours, I mean
Aziraphale: I'm winning him over to our side. He will tell all.
And at the wedding, the angels and the demons are sitting on opposite sides of the aisle thinking they have out foxed each other. (And Dog is totally the ring bearer)
I like to think that in the Accidental Antichrist Acquisition AU, because Adam has been prepped by his parents to expect a hellhound, Dog keeps the appearance of the big scary hellhound but maybe just a smaller version to be more convenient to walk around with. And his name is still Dog. And Adam loves him just the same.
Did Adam trade bikes with Pepper after she got "a girl's bike with a basket?" World's cutest spawn of Satan.
Dog the hellhound going from a bloodthirsty monster that was supposed to do Everything adam said to a little doggie that recognized right from wrong and disobeyed him when he got out of control....,,,,,., now that’s growth
I wish you would write a fic where Aziraphale and Crowley have to babysit Dog while Adam and his family go on holiday
...oh. Oh no. Oh no, this is a terrible idea. I LOVE IT.
Because Crowley is so very much not an animal person whatsoever... but he's a demon, so Dog is instinctively drawn to him. Meanwhile, Aziraphale likes small domestic animals (in theory; he likes the idea of them) but he's certainly never had to take care of one for a day, let alone for two weeks, and Dog clearly knows that and has a healthy canine disdain for him.
Plus, as the hellhound of the almost-Antichrist, poor Dog is freaking out about Adam leaving him. He keeps trying to run away and follow the Youngs' caravan, and it's all Crowley can do to hang onto his leash. "Great. The most fearsome of all of Satan's hellhounds has separation anxiety."
It is emphatically the worst two weeks of their lives. Dog digs up the garden and the neighbor's garden and gets into the bin and eats every piece of rubbish he can find, and makes all sorts of messes in the house, and it's just awful for everyone involved...
Except Dog actually likes Aziraphale's cooking (The Lord loves this angel but She did not bless him with skill in culinary arts.) and begs very adorably for tastes from the saucepan and to be allowed to lick the plates after supper. And whenever Crowley decides it's time for a nap, Dog is right there, glued to his thigh. When Crowley goes into the back garden to put right all the plants that Dog ruined and he's busy threatening them, Dog helps by growling menacingly. All of Deirdre's flowers become functionally immortal after that.
The house and garden are quite neat and tidy by the time the Youngs come back from their holiday, and Aziraphale and Crowley are so tired that when they make it home they both sleep for a week, but they don't dare say a word about it to Adam.
"Oh no, he was no trouble at all," Aziraphale lies, like a liar, so lyingly that Crowley is equal parts appalled and impressed.
