Happy boy got his own advent calendar 🎄.
And of course, Chase! He’s neutered now and he’s being far less bossy!
i don't know what it is about my dog, but i've had people come to me and admit that after meeting Sparta (or just seeing me post photos of her), they realised that hating poodles was part of their internalised homophobia that they weren't aware of. admitting they actually don't hate these funky dogs had a great impact on the way they view their sexuality and relationship with femininity and i think about this a lot.
Having permission to pet someones dog doesn’t mean you can just hug them.
I had a girl ask if she could pet my dog. Sure, why not. She barely let’s my dog sniff her hand until she is already hugging him. I know my dog tolerates sh*t very much (thanks to me and my brother doing stupid stuff to him for 11 years) and most likely won’t bite before trying to get away. Some dogs do not like strangers hugging them suddenly. Some do tolerate it and some do not like it at all and might ‘’suddenly’’ bite. If my dog would have been 4 he would might have bitten since he didn’t like others hugging him at all, even us, when he was young. Now when he is 11 he doesn’t really care.
If you don’t know the dog or get permission, do not hug them. You don’t know if they had bad experience with hugging/grabbing them, they might be scared of being picked up and think you are going to do it, are they aggressive when they feel threatened/anxious, they could get exited and think you wanna play and might bite/push you on the ground. Plus you really aren’t in the best position to defend yourself when on the ground if the dog decides to attack. THE SAME GOES TO LITTLE KIDS! Do NOT let them go hug someones dog without asking unless you are ready to pay the prize of your own stupidity. Some dogs can be more scared of small kids than adults.
Today's Christmas shopping was a success and my already spoiled dogs have become more spoiled.
I would love to have kids! (Kind Intelligent Dogs)
Muttblr?
Is muttblr a thing? Dogbrl is too much for me sometimes.
