Went on a big walk around town. Saw a bunch of posters up of the "ICP", no not the Insane Clown Posse, the International Communist Party. Apparently their ideology is a form of Dogmatic Marxism, within which they completely reject any socialist experiment that has occured in human history and believe that Marx's original teachings should remain unchanged. If you know Marxism you know apart of his whole thing is that everything is constantly changing and naturally we must adapt to meet those changes, so this dogmatism is in itself anti-marxist. Their rejection of socialist projects also means that they believe only in the initial idea of Communism and not the road that leads to Communism, it is the equivalent of reading the prologue to a book and then trying to write a report on the whole book. Also in the impossible event that they would attempt a revolution their own ideology would crumble, they would need to change Marx's theory to fit their own situation, which would destroy their whole belief system!
Anyways I tore down all of the posters of theirs I found. Was thinking I might go to their meeting just to shit talk them, in case I have nothing better to do.
