Dogs As Models:
In preparation for our SS20 photoshoot, we're looking back to our last social media photoshoot and how much fun we had! For our SS19 photoshoot we decided to feature dogs that belonged to our models to create some interesting content. Through research, we have found that other brands are also involving their pets on their fashion photoshoots .

Through researching, I found out about a photoshoot that the brand Coach did a photoshoot in 2015 which was a campaign that “celebrates the dogs in our lives and captures the pups’ unique personalities as they “model” Coach’s Fall 2015 star bags.” I think that these are really cute because of how even though it’s an advert to sell the bags, most of the focus is really on the dogs themselves since they are the real stars of the show.
Adopted A Dog:
As well as pets like dogs and cats that are used in photoshoots, some brands have also used exotic animals in the past as a part of their campaigns or in order to raise awareness of the animals. One of the most iconic shoots that comes to my mind when I think about animals being featured in fashion is the snakes that were used in Alexander McQueen’s SS10 campaign. McQueen worked with Nick Knight in order to create a series of photos that complimented a pair of his armadillo shoes.
I think the photos are beautiful because they really show off the bold and different variations of the snake and upon first glance you almost miss the model Raquel Zimmerman. I think that the snakes really compliment the shoes. When I went to the Savage Beauty exhibition in London I was also really lucky to be able to see the video that Nick Knight created to go along with these photos and it was just as shocking to see a video of smaller snakes crawling over the model.
