So, what are Dog!Dalex and Wolf going to do for Pride Month~?
As much as Wolf loves the idea of going all out and having some fun on the town with his boyfriend... he is still a wanted criminal, and nothing kills the mood more than getting arrested during a date. (Believe Wolf on this, it's happened before.)
And going incognito felt like too much of a hassle for him at the time, so instead he and Dogmore probably just hang out somewhere nice and quiet, away from the public eye. Maybe Dal's house, wherever the hell he lives in Lylat.
Or maybe they just take their ships, fly to an uncharted planet, and goof off without a care in the world. That's what I'd do ;3c
I saw a speedpaint where the artist made a silhouette of a character, then drew everything out on a new layer, basically skipping the sketching stage. I gave it a try with Dogmore, and liked how it turned out X3
I focused mainly on drawing Dogmore's legs, since I wondered how he'd look standing digitigrade (on his toes) instead of plantigrade (flat on his feet). Sure, he can't wear shoes, but I think this looks better. What say y'all?
How did Dog!Dalex react when he met Wold for the first time?
Dalex: “Commander Grey! Sir-!! W-What are you doing here…?”
Bill: “No need for any of that ‘sir’ stuff, dude. Just thought I’d drop by and see how our Mad Wolf is doing with his new team!”
Dalex: “Oh, cod, do the guys STILL call me that?”
Bill: “How can we not? Anyway, It looks like you’ve got a question to answer? Mind if I tag in?”
Dalex: “Uhm… alright, go nuts. You were there, too, after all.”
Bill: “Sweet. Okay, here’s how it went…”
Bill: “A couple years after the Lylat Wars were dealt with, my Huskies and I were assigned to protect a freighter that was heading for Katina. Can’t remember what was on it; food probably. But whatever it was, Star Wolf wanted it, and they caught us completely by surprise.”
Dalex: “It’s not like we didn’t stand a chance. I mean, we had Wolf and his gang beat by numbers. But… Well, it’s Star Wolf. They’re pretty ruthless when they want to be.”
Bill: “Don’t I know it. They managed to shoot quite a few of us down. I was actually starting to panic; fighting Star Wolf with Fox and the gang was one thing, fighting them this time was another.”
Bill: “But then… oh, but then… Wolf got cocky. And wouldn’t ya know it, he wound up saying the magic word. The one thing that never fails to piss our little Mad Wolf off. He called Dal a mutt!”
Dalex: *grrrrr…*
Bill: “Dal. Was. PISSED. He freakin’ snapped. Called Wolf a mangy mongrel and everything. He immediately chased after Wolf and was able to shoot him down in record time. It was freakin’ amazing, I think even WOLF got scared! That, THAT right there is why you don’t mess with the Mad Wolf.”
Dalex: “That was years ago, and honestly I still can’t believe I did it… No way I could do it again, not without help, anyway. What happened that day was more of a knockout blow than anything.”
Bill: “Pfft, ya don’t have to be so humble, dude. Anyway, that’s about it! First time Dally met Wolf. …That was the first time, right?”
Dalex: “Mmhm. Thanks, Bill. Tell the Huskies I said hi?”
From the moment they shook hands, Dalex has been afraid of Krystal.
Part of her has a guess as to why; Telepaths are pretty much nonexistent in Lylat, which still boggles her mind, even after spending a few years with Fox and his friends. She's so used to knowing what goes on in everyone's heads that forcing herself not to read minds out of politeness is easier said than done.
...She's slipped up a few times regardless, and has found a few skeletons that should've stayed in their closets. Guilty pleasures, secret crushes, regrets both past and present, all of them and more are hard to hide from her. The world around Krystal is a library; each book different from the last, only now she has to stop herself from reading them.
Dalex, on the other hand, is more akin to a locked diary. And even though the key is out of her reach, it didn't stop Dal from thinking she found a way to look inside. He feels threatened by her, and she knows it.
Basic emotions... are all she gets from him. Nothing precise, not even short phrases or images. She's tried probing his mind dozens of times, with no results. Mental blocks are nothing new to her; learning how to get past them was part of her training on Cerinia.
But none of them were this strong. And it's one made from fear, no less. What could possibly be scaring him so much?
Does Dog!Dalex have a crush on Wolf? It seems that he has a certain affinity with bad boys (Ludwig von Koopa, Revali) in all of his incarnations~.
Dalex: “I-I mean… WHAT-?? WOLF?! As in Wolf O-frickin’-Donnell?!? I shoot the guy on a regular basis, for cryin’ out loud!! I mean sure he’s hot- WAIT I MEAN- HE’S- I MEAN…!!! ohmycod what am i saying-??”
Dalex: “L-Look, the short answer is NO, I DO NOT. NO CRUSHES HERE. UH-UH. (ohcod my voice cracked) If you wanna drool over a handsome space pirate, then go RIIIGHT ahead. I won’t stop ya.”
Dalex: “…wait SHIT I didn’t mean to say handsome FUCK-”
Fox: “What are you talking about?”
Dalex: “I-! …N-Nothing, cap! Don’t worry about it…!”
I ask myself this question every time I wash my hair.
It get super curly when wet, only to become the ULTIMATE PUFF as it dries. I love and hate that this happens.
Love it because PUFF. LOOK AT ALL THIS PUFF.
And hate it because all this puff makes my hair impossible to braid =w="
Dogmore is indifferent; when he's got nothing to do he just lets the extra puff sit there for a while before going back to his usual look. Guess this is the first time Falco's ever seen it XD
