You feel like you have time to talk to Oobleck some more before you see anyone else. Frankly, you feel a lot of questions bubbling up inside. If only you knew how to put them into words...

Let’s shift the story over to Yang for a moment.
You searched the teacher’s lounge, as much of the teacher dorms as you could (they locked the doors behind them wherever they are, so that’s not very much at all), then the classrooms. And here you are, in Oobleck’s classroom, hardly halfway through the ones you aim to search, and he’s stopped you to ask for help.
He’s not speaking as fast as usual, though. He’s pausing his explanation every time your scroll gets a notification. And he keeps talking in circles; all you’ve gather so far is “it’s about Peter- err, you know, Professor Port.” Despite his slow speech, he still manages to ramble.

Emerald glances towards Cinder’s corner. “I kind of left without making sure he’s alive.” She looks down at her broken scroll (when did she get that back?), mumbling about how she couldn’t exactly call him.
Cinder hasn’t moved from here spot, but she’s still looking at you. Seeing whatever’s going on there in place of a beautiful although kinda threatening girl is a little unsettling.

You trade the stolen goods back. Now that you’ve actually entered the room, you notice that it’s uncomfortably warm. The air’s a little dry, and the wall around the corner seems to have claw marks on it.
Emerald follows your eyes. “Are you going to get your weapons or what?”

She does jump a little as she notices Zwei, but now isn’t the time for that.
“Did you sleep well?”

Emerald leans closer to the door. “Just be quiet and grab what you need,” she whispers. Glancing at a faint orange glow coming from around the corner, she adds to not go near... that?
Luckily, non of you or your teammate’s lockers are around that corner.

There seems to be a dent in the wall over him, and the window is covered in soot as well. On the floor across from him is a broken scroll. Whatever happened here, it’s amazing neither of you heard it.
“Look, Shorty, if you’re here to do some act of kindness, just hand me a screwdriver and close the door on your way out.”
