So....  for the holidays we made Gingerbread constructions. (They are not always houses, as you can see.) One of them had a profound effect on the Brother.

Meet Mr Spinks. The Brother was afraid to take his eyes off this Horrendous Monster, and he kept up a continual discussion about how something nasty was about to kill us all. Being rather thick, it took us awhile to figure out that it was this particular piece of Gingerbread that was doing him a concern. Solution: we turned Spinks around so he would no longer be facing into the room.

The Brother is no longer concerned that disaster is about to befall... but he does occasionally check to make sure all remains as it should be.

We are so fortunate to have the Brother looking out for us.   :D
