⸻ Laios waking up quite early in the morning was no rare thing. in fact, he’d often wake up with you in his arms—but this time, his side felt oddly empty. did you already get up?

turning his head to the side, he sees your silhouette. you’re a bit far but he’s certain he can reach you. Laios then sat up, letting the blanket fold down to his lap, before stretching his arms around you. in a second, he’s got you imprisoned in his warm embrace, face nuzzled into your neck.

he was tired, there’s no denying that, but you usually woke up after marcille and the others, so it sorta worried him.

laios listened to your soft yawn, tilting his head softly. you sounded so sleepy, so adorable. You were the only person who never found the things he said or did to be strange or off-putting, and he really, really appreciated you for that.

his hands, big and warm slid under your shirt, splaying across the soft swell of your stomach before going further up and cupping your soft mounds, kneading them from time to time. wow, they actually were a great source of warming.. he mused silently.

“..are they always this warm?” laios asked quietly, a hint of wonder audible in his voice as he gave a gentle tilt of his head, a soft and sincere expression gracing his features.

⸻ “is something the matter?” he grumbled, watching as you approached. the bodyguards soon left the room, giving you both your privacy. you could see the visible hints of exhaustion written all over his face and couldn’t deny the way your heart ached. Taeju took in your worried expression, and his gaze softened for the briefest of moments.

still, despite his overbearing responsibilities, he managed to make time for you. the chair shifted as he turned towards you, his hand capturing your wrist before the other one wrapped around your hips, pulling you close. he pressed a chaste kiss on the finger occupying your wedding ring, before sliding placing both hands onto your hips. his tangled brown locks framed his head like a halo, as he gazed up at you.

even after all these years, his wife/the mother of his sons, looked absolutely ravishing in every way. “worried about me, are you?” he asked, a gentle smile appearing on his stern features as he lays his head on the soft flesh of your stomach. what a privilege it was to see the mafia boss’ gentle side.

⸻ laios noticed his weight gain and couldn’t help but feel sad for eating so much and accumulating some sort of ‘dad bod’. his muscles had softened and he’s much softer than usual.

when he met you, he used to be muscular, and strong too. but now.. he feels like he’s failed you. like he wasn’t the same laios you had fallen for.

he just.. loves the home cooked meals you cook for him! they’re so yummy and filled with love, he could eat them all day. he’s just always been a simple guy, happy enough with food, a cozy, warm house and an incredibly beautiful woman like you. he really doesn’t need anything else.

so when you came back home from your usual grocery run, noticing the way he fiddled with his sweatpants and avoided eye contact. but eventually, he met your eyes, because in the end, he does want to talk. he’s never been good at starting serious conversation, but you’ve never given him a reason to worry about telling you anything.

he’s nervous, but he wants to talk, he needs you. he glaces over at you as you sit beside him, and taking a deep breath, his hands travel to your hips, pulling you close. he gently plops you down to straddle his lap, feeling more at ease with you bein’ so close and warm.

he’s a bit.. embarrassed with how much his stomach is practically protruding a little more than before. the added weight of his clothing, make him seem a little chubbier and he’s worried you’d be repulsed. he seriously feels like he’s let himself go.. not to mention that he doesn’t look as strong as before.

“promise, you won’t freak out?” he gently asks, looking extremely guilty like he’s commited an unspeakable crime.

Thaddeus had been sent over to find Peter, but he stumbled upon a far more interesting opponent. you, just your regular D-rank killer to the eye but oh there was far more to you than the eye could tell.

surprisingly, you had managed to steer yourself clear of any opponents. when half of the other killers had been wiped out, you and a few others remained.

“I want you to fight me, yeah?” is what Thaddeus had proposed after seeing you fight honourably and in quite a suspiciously spectacular way indeed. “if you manage to even lay a finger on me, i’ll give you my card.”

the cards weren’t what interested him, rather, it was his thirst for action, to figure out just what it was about you, a mere D-rank that made you so strong. you, picked his interest.

as if on cue, you accepted his challenge, getting into position and analyzing him. Thaddeus couldn’t help but feel all giddy and excited, he was this close to figuring out what made you tick, what made you so strong.

Now, he wasn’t a sicko, he actually preferred to think of himself as your friendly neighbourhood guy! but something about you.. just made him feel all, hot and bothered. surprisingly hot. this was actually the first time he’s ever felt something like this, was this all apart of your plan?

“hm, what’s this? like what you see?” he teased, noticing your gaze rake over his body longer than you probably intended.

you wielded your small knife with efficiency, your position one of defence. “not going straight for the attack, huh? sure, i’ll indulge ya.” he mused before heading straight to you, his legs easily propelling him straight towards you.

‘oh, what’s this?’ he wondered, noticing how you eyes tracked each of his movements without fail, seeking for a blind spot all while dodging his kicks. oh, you just kept on surprising him! made him wanna keep you by his side ‘nd protect you for what glory had in mind for the D-rank killers. just for fun, of course.

“well, fuck me sideways,” he breathed, realizing you had him right where you wanted him. you knife pressed against his neck, right above one of his vital points. my goodness, his heart was racing. his hand reached up to wrap around your wrist, keeping a safe distance between the knife and his skin. “ooh, so close, yet—so damn far. c’mon, one more time, yeah?” he coaxed, leaning in closer as a devious smirk curled onto his lips.

oh, Thaddeus could be quite the distraction when he wanted to be.

you’d known lee jay through tae-ha and i think it’s pretty safe to say he’s been courting you, as well as annoying you.

and well, what’s a nice and sexy man like him got to do to win your pretty little heart? covering for your shift.

now, let’s just say, you had gotten quite the headache and had done the mistake to let him know in an attempt to shut down his, well, attempt on seeing you after work and most likely planning on asking you out on a date.

unfortunately for you, there he was, substituting you at your part-time job at the meat restaurant you worked at. truth is, your manager folded quite easily at his appearance, despite the fact that he clearly did not work there. a few words here and there and he was good to go, his looks sure could do wonders.

a few minutes later, you had walked into the very restaurant after realizing you had quite literally forgotten to call and let your boss know you were sick.

but as you walked in, your colleague—laura, walked past you. “oh, you don’t have to worry about that, this suuper, duper handsome guy came in and covered your shift. girl, you are soo lucky!" she said, the smitten tone in her voice apparent.

lucky? a handsome guy? covering for your shift? who in the—oh, you have got to be joking.

lee jay had been making his rounds, his handsome self getting quite the attention from the women, was enough to keep them coming. granted, he did look quite the sight in your apron. the light brown fabric tied around his waist, barely hiding his bulky, muscular build. his suit jacket had been draped over one of the bar stools, and he was just wearing a white collared t-shirt.

“hey, pretty.” he greeted, with the same lazy yet polite grin and eyes of his. he took the opportunity to lower the tray of food, lean in and gently pecking your lips—a brief yet needy kiss. “heard my sweet girl’s having a headache, so, i thought i’d cover for her. didn’t think i’d see you here,” he teased, his free hand snaking around your waist. he was impossible.

You’ve been stressed. overworking yourself with an unreasonable amount of jobs and you know it. you needed to relax—unwind, perhaps. and he knew that, better than anyone.

effortlessly, he pulled you into him, his muscular body and broad shoulders straining against the uniform. “don’t be mad, yeah? i was just trying to help,” his voice was smooth, with a soft tone, unassuming yet so irresistible. “I think i’m doing an alright job, don’t you?”

he was a walking contradiction, a clueless airhead that was somehow sweet and gentle yet nonetheless, a man who could break you in two but instead, decided to reel you in.

he swore, he let you out of his sight once and he hasn’t seen you again. and when he does, you’re a fucking monster?? as much as he’d love to gawk and ask what the hell happened to you, he understands that you probably wouldn’t even getting anything he’d say. The mad mage definitely did this to you.

you were too busy attacking, and slashing everything in your way. most of his party members were dead, but he couldn’t worry about that right now—someone would perform a revival spell on them later.

but right now, he had to find a way to get in your head and snap you out of it. as much as he hates monsters, you’re the only person he’d be crazy enough to try and bring back, even if you were quite the monster.

thankfully, rin’s attack got you distracted enough, even though it was shocking to see her attack had no effect in your body just now. Kabru got behind you just in time, before you could lure anyone else in. his hand grabbed the side of your face, fingers digging into the flesh of your cheek, while pulling you flush against his chest, close enough so he could get a good angle and a vital point in which the knife would then penetrate.

He gritted his teeth as he hesitated. could he really do this? stab you—wound you? “shit.. snap out of it—damn it!” he yelled, his anger masking his frustration and unwillingness to do this to you.

parting the purple curtains that led to your glorious goods shop, the sweet scent of your fragrance wafts around him. ah, his favourite scent.

It took you a second to notice him, too busy bragging and boasting about your goods. your words trailed off right as you mentioned taking any form of payment, noticing him at the door.

‘well if it wasnt the mysterious Vax’ildan?’

you wasted no time in approaching him, hands reaching for his face before practically throwing yourself at him. he chuckled at this, embracing you and letting you pepper his face with your kisses. god, he’s missed you.

“glad to see you’ve lost none of your charms, love.” he mused, grabby hands sliding down your back and just grabbing a handful of your ass, pulling you flush against him. and with the way your body was practically squished up against his, breasts pushed up against him, Vax certainly had no complaints.

he couldn’t get enough of you, and well—you all know Vax, if he’s going to tease—he’s going all in. Vax then leaned in, lips brushing against the shell of your ear, “you missed me, didn’t ‘cha? yeah, you definitely did,” he drawled, gently nipping at your flesh, his teeth grazing the sensitive skin.

tch. Alipede was getting sick of this. he had a mission to fulfill and he couldn’t have you getting in his way. how many times did he have to tell you to fuck off? there was already an apostle on the task, there was no fucking need for you. you were so damn infuriating.

but you seemed set on getting on his nerves, on making his blood boil. and of course, it always resulted in him threatening to kill you once and for all. not that you’d let him, but seeing his frustration was both amusing and utterly adorable.

you’d tease and probe at him like some harasser. even after purposely ruining his plans, he could sense that smirk and smugness of yours. he despised it. he hated you. he hated how you managed to get under and just how you were able to keep up with him. by now you would’ve been dead if it weren’t for your annoyingly impressive skills.

you were trying to throw him off balance and he wasn’t having any of it. no matter how backhanded your compliments may have seemed. ‘pretty?’ him? bullshit. what the hell was wrong with you?

now, even with a knife at your throat, you still had the audacity to utter such distasteful words. did you think he’d fold, just because you called him pretty? that vital organ of his, the one he had wanted to get rid of—to harden for all these years still managed to beat somewhat rapidly at your words. As if he’d fuil your ego by letting you know what you did to him.

you weren’t getting out of here alive, not when his left hand had a firm grip of your waist and the other held a knife at your throat.
