I love how this fandom is filled with people who literally talk shit about poc, but when one comment is made about a white person they get so offended and wanna start shit. Like keep that same energy for the poc in this fandom pls... Thank u, next
I love each and everyone of us in the fandom. Doesn't matter the color of your skin, age, sex, religion or appearance. We started out in this fandom as a family and we will fight this as a family💕💕
I am livid
I’ve had some time to think about the race issue that’s going on in our fandom, and I’ve spoken up about it a few times already, but I just wanna say a few more things about it. Ethan’s tweet? That was some absolute bullshit. It didn’t do shit for this issue. If anything, it was insulting. It was insulting because it belittles the issue, it doesn't acknowledge the inequality that POCs get (in this fandom and just in general), and it’s so far from the truth. End of the day, we’re all fucking different, and that’s okay. That's what we thrive for. Why the hell would we want to be the same? Originality is what we strive for, it’s what has people getting out of bed in the morning everyday and giving them a reason to keep going, to keep living. Also, their actions, or lack thereof, are becoming ignorant, period. It’s fucking ignorant for them to shy away from discussing this issue. They themselves say that they want to use their platform for good, to use their voice to raise awareness about issues that they feel are important. So essentially, if they don't speak up about it, they're indirectly stating that the race issue isn’t important enough for their time and attention. And that's such a shitty thing to do. It’d be inexcusable. I understand that they prefer to be drama-free, but continuing to ignore this issue isn't being drama-free, it’s being ignorant and idiotic. They have the voice, they need to use their voice. They have said that there are so many people with influence that are taking this generation down the wrong path, so why not be the people they claim they want to be and lead the generation in the right path?
The amount of people that unfollowed after Ethan’s tweet. Good riddance bitches ✌
“i call my black friend/boyfriend/girlfriend/cousin/neighbor/classmate nigga and they don’t mind bc is in a friendly way”
Please explain it to me i don’t get it.
I’m so done with people thinking that is an argument to say it’s ok to call someone a word that was used to degrade and insult people of color submitted to slavery and abuse for CENTURIES. If you and your friend are comfortable enough to insult each other then fucking good for you, but please understand that YOU ARE NOT THE FUCKING BELLYBUTTON OF THE UNIVERSE. The fact that you and your friend aren’t bothered to look behind the meaning and cultural/social impact of an insult doesn’t mean that edducated people won’t feel offended, which means if you, very publicly may I add, voice a word like that in social media you should be prepared for consequences. In other words, if you call your black hommie that nasty word and they’re good with that go ahead. But hey, newsflash people: the amount of people that could read your PUBLIC tweet also known as the whole internet comunity is not your friend, SO HOW THE FUCK IS YOUR FRIEND OF COLOR BEING OKAY WITH IT IS AN EXCUSE?!
Please explain it to me I don’t understand.
