Gave a creepy old porcelain doll a makeover, now they're a child with a smaller creepy old doll 🙃

Now that I've semi-retired from CC making (at least on an Early Access basis), I think I'm going to put more effort into my doll restorations/makeovers. It's relaxing once I get into the painting zone and really satisfying to see the results. I need to find some more vintage girlies to make over though.

I would love to get my hands on a vintage Christie (60s or 70s) and restyle her to look like one of the earlier 60s dolls.

My next Barbie mod! This is Lulu from Final Fantasy X. Again, her face and hair were removed and repainted. Lulu isn’t much for smiling, so I used air dry clay to re-shape her mouth so she’s smirking instead of smiling with her teeth.

I also used clay to adjust her bust, as her design has a quite a bit of boobage.

The belts are made of ribbons and I found itty bitty belt buckles online.

Overall, I think she looks more accurate than the last doll I did. I think I’m improving!

as soon as i saw this leopard print suit i KNEW i was gonna put it on swag. as cringey as that word is, i have renamed my swag dolls "justin bieber" jb for short. it fits her better idk.

also this is my first time putting "piercings" on a doll and i am definitely addicted now. for now i just glue gems on them but i'm excited to continue experimenting and see what i can do next!
