I haven't been giving modern Barbies makeovers recently, but this was a mercy makeover. It's not clear in the photo but she was shark attacked by a Toddler on all four limbs, so I put her on my spare Made to Move body, redid her lips and switched her eye colour.

This month’s artistic venture: converting a goodwill Barbie into Yuna from Final Fantasy X!

I had been getting videos recommended on my YouTube of people converting Barbie’s into celebrities. I thought it looked fun, but I don’t know or care about celebs. I’m really into FFX right now, so I thought Yuna would be a good experiment.

This Barbie was throughly changed. Her face was wiped off with acetone and her hair was removed. I hand sewed just about everything that wasn’t ribbon and painted her face, obi, sleeves, and skirt. Her shoes were a pair of red Barbie sneakers that I altered with air dry clay and painted.

The doll isn’t a perfect recreation, but I think she turned out really well! I’d like to do Rikku, Lulu, Tidus, and Auron too, but I have some other art projects I want to finish first lol.
