Scenecore!Joe Hills custom doll

This was a custom doll made for @batlesbianism! I had a lot of fun working on this since I'd never used a male Descendants doll as a base before, so I drafted all the patterns myself. Time-consuming but very worth it to get exactly what I wanted out of the final product!

Also doll glasses: way harder to make than they have any right to be, but so satisfying to complete. I'll need to make some more to get the method down.

I made a custom face-up for the Lorenzo MJD! I was looking for him for a while from more local stockists but he wasn't anywhere... Until I bought him secondhand HEHEHEHE!!!! I wasn't a fan of the factory printed one so I decided I would just redo it myself. Below is just the face plate on its own.

I think I'm getting pretty good at this!

So I FINALLY finished my first custom doll. This doll gave me a LOT of trouble and I almost gave up. But I persisted and now she exists!!!!

There’s a lot I’d change or do differently in the future, but for now, I’m just happy to have completed a project 🥰

Some mods I made: her jacket was originally a shirt but I added a little pin and sewed sequins on the back. I also made her the little bead bracelet as well as the belt and necklace. I also added purple glitter to her shoes and two gems to her headphones.

Also in this closeup you can see how crazy messy her face is. Originally it was much cleaner but I had so many issues with her eyes that it got super messed up so I repainted part of it and added more glitter. In a way I think it was a good thing, because I was inspired by some dolls that had super grungy glitter makeup and I think I wasn’t brave enough to make her that messy. By accidentally roughing up her original faceup I was forced to add the grunge element I wanted. So it all worked out in the end! And I’m glad I learned how to add the eyes neatly in the end because now I know how to keep that from happening to the other shadow high custom I’m working on!!
