I was a first AC in a past life. You get to spend a lot of time with your dolly grip. 12-16h days are common. Tom was one of my fav dolly grips. First thing I was taught in the movie business was, “you only hire who you want to have dinner with...” Tom was that kind of guy. Will miss him.
