Dolly Intro: Monster High G3

I always start with my best ghoul Frankie! I have 4 from G3.

Signature, my beloved. I repainted their lips, added an eyebrow piercing, and gave them an OMG robot arm.

Core Refresh, whose face I sewed into and stapled. A gift from B.

Monster Fest -- love their whole OTT vibe.

And Scary Sweet, who is brand new and has no pictures yet.

Next up is Draculaura; I have two.

Signature: I gave her snake bite piercings. Love her v bangs. I also gave snake bites to core refresh; I like her darker makeup. Lala is my chronic illness buddy, who always needs plenty of snacks, comfy clothes, and ability aids.

Monster Ball Lagoona. I struggle with G3 Lagoona. On the one hand, I love her themes, outfits, and makeup looks. On the other hand, I LOATHE the shade of pink they chose for her skin. Someday I will figure out a way to repaint her blue or gray (or pay someone to do it for me).

Skulltimate Abbey. I buzzed her hair, added a little bit of blushing, painted her claws, and pierced her ears.

Core Refresh Cleo. Her bangs continue to bedevil me, but I think she's a beautiful doll.

Signature Venus. Possibly the best G3 doll. She's so fun to restyle; I love her hair, body sculpt, and faceup. I added a couple of piercings and painted her nails.

Signature Spectra. The clear limbs are fun, and I love her sharp face.

Signature Jinafire. I love her unique body mold, and her pale green skin. I struggle a bit with her, because I don't like red and purple together -- but I think with a few edits, she'll be great in my collection.

Dolly Intro: Others

Hades is a hairdorables doll, and she has my favorite hand sculpt of all my fashion dolls. I had her for over a year before I realized she has a chest joint.

I have 4 Cave Club dolls; they're super cheap and fun to customize. I love their big ol' feet (makes posing really easy) and their facial expressions. The lack of head tilt really drives me crazy, though, and the body proportions make them hard to dress.

Punzie is a Disney Animators doll that I rescued from the thrift store and restored her hair. B. made several dresses for her, of which this is one.

Mulan is an anniversary gift from spouse. She's my only doll that lives in her box.

Morra is another thrift find. Like cave club, I really like the designs of the mermaidz and would have more were it not for two big issues: lack of head tilt, and completely unarticulated tails. But I'm happy to have this one, if for no other reason than she's the only one who can fit this Rapunzel dress.

Bubbles, a mermaze/barbie hybrid.

Jade. I took out her upper arm piece (I feel like the arms on new bratz are way too long). I'd have more, if I can figure out how to make her a foot prosthetic, so she can wear actual shoes. Jade turned into November, and I like her so much more now!

ILY Rapunzel was a gift from my mom. Love her hair and sturdy body, don't love her vacant eyes.

Drusilla, my one and only BJD who was given to me by a neighbor.

Dolly Intro: Monster High G1

This is a long post. This first part is for G1 dolls; there will be a separate post for G3.

Always have to start with ⚡Frankie⚡, my favorite ghoul. I have 5 G1 Frankies.

This wave 1 signature was sent to me by a kind internet friend. Her head's all discolored and gluey, but she's very special to me.

Left to right is Sweet Screams, creeproduction, and Freak du Chic. Sweet Screams Frankie is another amazing thrift find: I got her at Once Upon a Child for $6, mostly complete!

Reel Drama Frankie, who like all the RD dolls was a pain to get. But she's mine now and will forever live in her glass coffin.

🧠Ghoulia🧠 . I have 3 G1 Ghoulias. Gloom Beach is from my dolly friend B. who found them at the thrift store, which amazes me as I never see G1 Monster High out in the wild!

Creep and Reel Drama Dracs

Dead Tired Drac I think is so cute with her straight-out pigtails. She's another one I often display upside down. (With a Lala cameo)

🐟Lagoona🐟 , I have 4 from G1. I much prefer G1's color scheme; while I don't mind pink, I don't like the pink they chose for G3 Lagoona. However, I love G3's concepts and makeup. Creeproduction and Reel Drama Lagoona. I like displaying the creepros + RD together in the coffins :) If only I had creepro Drac :'( I actually had her at one point but wasn't connecting and resold her to a dolly friend. I regret that decision now! A different dolly friend sent me a Creep Drac! See above.

Rollermaze Lagoona -- I love rollerskating dolls and this Lagoona is no exception. (And a bonus rollermaze Ghoulia cameo)

I diy'ed a bacta tank for Dead Tired Lagoona. It'll get a whole post of its own eventually.

🐊Honey🐊 , I have 2.

Freak du Chic Honey came to me missing her left arm. Eventually I'll get a replacement. I love her wiggly marionette joints and balloon animal boots.

Frights, Camera, Action Honey is one of my favorite dolls -- all of the vine sculpting on her body is unique and beautiful. She's the no.1 ghoul I'd like to see translated into G3.

☣️Gooliope☣️, I have 2.

Freak du Chic ringmaster Gooliope. She presides over the circus that's perpetually displayed on top of one of my bookshelves.

This Goo is my play one. She's another doll that's challenging to style, due to her unique proportions. But I'm always up for a doll restyling challenge!

Rollermaze Abbey was a thrift find send to me by B.

I'm so proud of getting her balanced in this pose without any supports.

Rochelle, as part of the Freak du Chic. [somehow I have no pictures of her? I'll put one in eventually.]

Twyla, another member of the Freak du Chic, pictured here in her icing sugar fungus form.

Kala, Hydra, and Sirena -- when you're a sea monster, girls' night happens in the tub. I'm blown away by the details on all three of these dolls -- especially the little suckers molded on Kala's hands.

Kjersti is a thrift find sent to me by B.! Doesn't she have amazing thrifting powers??

Skelita was a gift from my SIL.

Robecca I got in a big lot, with her hair already cut. She's another one where the body sculpt is unique and lovely.

Enid was a Christmas gift from R., and Wednesday was a gift from spouse.

Dion (aka Skullector Venus). Love the faceup and piercings.

I also have Corazon Marikit and Finegan Wake, but have yet to take pictures of them.

Dolly intro: LOL

This post will include both the bigger OMGs and the midsize Tweens. I do have a bunch of the little tots, but I don't really consider them part of my doll collection.

OMG

Loretta I got used in a big lot. I love her hair; it's a very nice texture and I love to just twirl it around my fingers. I got her at a time when I was having a lot of anxiety about driving places with my cranky baby, so driving an hour to pick up this doll lot was good exposure therapy.

Miss Royale. The blacklight features! the bonkers themeing! I don't take nearly enough pictures of her for how much I love her.

Ace and Ursula (with bonus Loretta), the beginnings of my LOLler derby team. More to come on that in a future post.

Gamma Babe -- I kept everything from her: all clothes and accessories, her box, her other box, the little shoe boxes. I absolutely adore this retrofuture space babe.

Tweens

Haribo with bonus candy tots. I love her over-the-top design, and especially her little gummy bear belt! Though I'm always afraid of losing the bears; they come off really easily.

Gracie Skates is precious.

Aya , another one with perfect themeing.

In Memoriam

Cora with all three of her heads. I'd love to have more in this line; the headswap mechanic is so fun! Didn't play with her enough to justify keeping the doll. Kept her clothes and gifted the doll to some young friends. Haribo: kept the candy tots and her outfit, gifted the doll.
