I have a lot of ideas for ‘extra jobs’ Danny did in earlier seasons, especially when he was kinda in between places. With the blogs I follow, there’s a bunch of us who just loooooove Bottom!Steve and then it popped into my mind. What if Danny was an actual, paid Dom? He couldn’t do it too often but he was so damn good at it that the few sessions he did squeeze in were enough to pay rent as well as child support. Though he didn’t really want to do it because his inner needs kinda clashed with the image of a father who deserved to be around his kid, so he didn’t do it despite having people request him. But the point was he was a professional Dom. 

As the years went by and he became more stabilized, he delved into his secret desires and sorta has this side thing. Most of the time it’s not even sexual, it’s the need to have control when his life is always constantly shifting and out of control, and these guys remind him a lot of Steve so it’s even easier somehow.  Sometimes it can lead towards it being sexual. 

Then they’re on a case and Danny can tell this guy’s, maybe big biker or military dude, is a sub. Danny takes charge and kinda makes the guy all but submit to him...and if this is established McDanno we’re talking about then it’s gonna be an awkward car ride. Danny’s stopped professionally Dominating when he got together with Steve, it was slowly realized their dynamics in the bedroom and after hours when they’re alone but it never occurred to Steve there might be other subs!

Lol, so just imagine afterward they just keep running into Danny’s old subs and Steve is jealous and possessive

I hope this all made sense. I was just rambling and kept being called away. But yeah.

bless you. it's so sad to me how many people think steve would be the dom and danny would be the sub. danny's always been so competent at guiding steve that not putting danny in the dom position makes no sense at all

im also agreeing with danny about steve having 'control issues'. you can't put someone with control issues in the dom position, that just wouldn't be smart or safe or healthy for anyone? personally i think that steve's obsession to be the one with the control comes from the way he was raised, the way he had to be in his navy career; and from the fact that he's learned to trust himself over everyone else, that he's scared of what could happen if he wasn't in control. i think that with steve, in the end it all comes down to survival, not preference? with danny however, he doesn't need to be in control or the dominant one in every field of his life. but damn he is good at it when he wants to be, or feels it's necessary. he would be a dom for someone else, not for himself, if that makes sense. and at the same time, i can so easily see sub!steve - and i don't mean he'd submit to everyone or anyone, but i can see him do that with danny. and damn it would do him do good to let danny be there for him, to let danny take care of him.

But what if Danny is the most popular professional dom in all of California and he’s so well respected that other clubs will pay him to come to their clubs and take on special clients?  What if he takes baby doms under his wing and teaches them  see and tricks for dealing with subs and general relationship advice?

Oh god okay so honestly I don't even like Jackson and when he left I could not have cared less but

BUT

I have so many dom!Danny/sub!Jackon feels it's not even funny, because if ever a boy cried out for the gentle but firm guiding hand of a dom, it is Jackson fucking Whittemore.

First of all there was the teacher-parent conferences:

And second of all there was this fucking scene

where Derek grabs Jackson by the hair and makes him bare his neck and Jackson doesn't do shit but take it (and I will never understand why Derek/Jackson never became a thing because if you want a hate ship with fucked up power dynamics that's wrong in all the best ways then Derek/Jackson was the way to fucking go man)

Jackson put up an asshole front but he was only ever a scared boy who needed someone to take him down when he was being a jerk, and tell him he was a good boy when he needed reassurance.

AND THAT SOMEONE IS DANNY MAHEALANI

Because Danny doesn't take shit from anyone, not even his best friend. And ok Danny doesn't get enough screentime so we don't know a LOT about him but from what we've seen he's:

-forgiving ("apology accepted" to Scott after a lacrosse game)

-patient (look Jackson is his best friend he has to have the patience of a saint)

-fair (told Jackson to get over himself when Scott was named co-captain)

-meant a lot to Jackson (Danny was one of the only people who could snap Jackson out of his kanima-induced trance state)

^^^ so in other words he would be a fucking awesome dom fucking hell give it to me

(and ok I'm not saying Lydia wouldn't make a great domme but I am saying that she and Jackson did not work (like the way they used each other was just not healthy and no no no) and frankly Lydia deserves better belongs with Cora and/or Allison anyway (◡‿◡✿)

EDIT: and I forgot about the "if we can save him we should try"
