an under-discussed facet of cohabitation is the soundscape of the domestic space. whichever resident dominates it with the sound of tv, music, silence, speech of guests, speech of residents. tyranny of the soundscape is well. it's insupportable. it is important to agree before moving in that the soundscape will be divided fairly amongst the taste of all residents, or at least that everyone will take turns in dominating

did you know that if you're making apple crisp on a snowy night, to use up old apples, it is both legal and sexy to take an entire bag of cranberries out of your freezer and throw them in there? and then your apple crisp has a superior and game-changing new feature: sour bits (my beloved)

anyway on a more positive note i did some more mediocre darning!
backed it with a little patch for reinforcement and like. yes all of this is pretty crude! but at least now at a glance the impression is not Hole—
