See the problem with me is that I am capable of reading into things of going on long rants about themes and characters etc but I've got that vampire autism where I refuse to share deeper thoughts unless prompted.

I don't go punching walls, but I watch the show for gameplay not narrative, that's how it was for 38 seasons and that's what its appeal has been

.... The issues you are describing are EXACTLY the issues they are making fun of, bud. The second you say “identity politics” what you mean is “I wish women and minorities would shut up and know their place” and if you DON’T mean that then find a different term, yeah? How do you see a post that ends with “I miss concussions” and think “ah yes I am a HUGE fan of concussions as well, they’re a sign the game is REAL and MANLY and they’re definitely not making FUN of ME” Like, Survivor or the Highs and Lows of High School Football are not what the post is actually about, and you just missed that spectacularly. It’s about the sort of people who think those things, many of whom aren’t football fans- apparently you’re one of the rare ones who thinks because you don’t watch football but still hold those views you are somehow exempt.
