Also I realised that I'm still pissed at omelette du fromage. IT DOESN'T MEAN ANYTHING. AN OMELETTE IS MADE WITH EGGS, NOT CHEESE. If you want to say an omelette with cheese, you say omelette AU fromage, not DU fromage. Also from a grammatical standpoint it's just plain dumb because fromage, like most things, when considered the main ingredient, becomes kind of an uncountable, you say de, not du. Du is de+le (of the), and it doesn't work there.
