Day 16 - Infinity
"I will love you until infinity runs out"
I found the quote and ran with it it. Considering these two are soulmates, it fits. :)

Day 16 - Infinity

De gustibus non est disputandum.
I often have people ask me "How can you like both of those things? It doesn't make sense...you SOULDN'T."
Example: How can you like both metal and k-pop?
The thing is: I don't limit myself.
You know like with food, people often tell you "You can't know if you like it if you haven't tried it." and I apply that to basically anything.
I'll listen to any kind of music I find and then decide "That's not my thing" or "That's ok I like it", same for books, movies, anime, manga and people.
If someone tells me "That thing/person is terrible, there is nothing to like about it/them" I usually won't believe them until I've seen it for myself. That doesn't mean I won't consider your opinion, I just won't make it MY opinion right away.
I'm not a fan of the whole "Because someone told me so." culture.
I'm more of a "Because I tried and I think this" person.
Tastes are such an individual thing that you can't afford to base yours off of someone else's, because there are so many things you'd never try and you'd actually like.
Also I'm not going to dislike something just because other people expect me to and I might look weird if I don't.
When I was little I didn't want to be a girly girl (and I wasn't one), so I felt that I had to make it a statement so that other people would know too. So I decided I didn't like ballet/dancing and that I hated pink and skirts.
That belief stayed with me until I was NINETEEN, for no reason other than "This is what people expect of me know, I always said I hated pink and skirts and I'm not going to wear pink nor skirts". And when I finally realised that I was limiting myself because of something I had decided when I was SIX ot was truly liberating. It's okay to change your mind.
So yeah, I like kpop and I like death metal, I like dark colors, pastel colors and bright colors, I like elegant clothing and oversized baggy sweaters with leggings, I like natural hairstylez and I like brightly colored Mohawks, no make up, full face make up, no skirts, girly dresses, videogames, fashion, high heels. "Girly" things and "I'm not girly" things.
Don't limit yourself just because you feel like you should look coherent.
IT'S OKAY TO LIKE VERY DIFFERENT THINGS.
Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
David Attenborough, narrating Planet Earth: This young elephant has gotten lost. It follows its mother's tracks...sadly...in the wrong direction.
Me: OH GOD * is emotionally compromised about elephants forever*
Hey teenagers. You ever see someone your age in the passenger seat of a car looking miserable and you judge them, silently wondering why they’re not just driving themselves? Don’t lie, we’ve all done it. But you never know, maybe they just don’t want their license. Or maybe they have it and they’re not feeling well. Or maybe their car was t-boned by a 9 year old man and it was totaled and per MA state insurance laws they can’t legally drive another car and they’re miserable because their hard-earned freedom has been taken away. It could happen. All I’m saying is, don’t assume you know what’s happening in someone’s life, cause you just never know.
👋
Hello fellow humans, I am Quinn and I am new to this so don't judge. I don't actually know what to put here but just wanted to say that cucumbers are delicious.
My tides are treacherous.
Go with the flow sugar. They won't bite ... much.
My shallows are treasonous.
Get your feet wet ; they're harmless. See sweetie nothing to be afraid of .
My depths are unforgiving .
Its sink or swim and honey there's no life boat in sight.
Sims
Starscream came to see what I was doing just as I was making the crew in the Sims.
He was very confused and maybe a little outraged. I recorded it for future amusement.
