If you want low carb lasagna you can sub the pasta with donair meat and it's fucking amazingly good.

I have been making them for Steph and it's pretty much been just donair meat, red pepper paste (sweet), sun dried tomatoes, mushrooms and various cheeses but I imagine if I went whole hog with the tomato sauce and the spinach and the ricotta it would be even better.

The donair meat is beef so it takes on that same beef boiled in tomatoes with cheese flavor that defines lasagna (in my mind anyway) and it's already spiced so you can just use plain ingredients and it will come out very flavorful.

I definitely recommend trying it if you can get sliced donair meat in your local store.

Veg donair veg cheese repeat until dish is 3/4 full end with shredded cheese and bake at 350 for like 20-25 minutes or until well browned on top and hot throughout.

You could use sauce as well but I you don't really need to because I always found they had ample moisture with just the veg.

✿ ドンエア | Donair ・ハリファックス名物。もともとはケバブ店の経営していたトルコ人が、カナダ人にうける食べ物を、ということで作り上げられたのがきっかけ。はじめは羊の肉を使ったもののカナダ人には受けず、そこで考えられたのがこの『Donair』というメニュー。かなりのスパイスで味付けられた牛肉なんです。これにトマトやオニオンのみが入ったケバブ。実はハリファックス、ノバスコシア州でしか食べられない１品なんです。最近はトロントなんかでも取り扱うお店があるらしいけど、基本的にハリファックスのみ！ただ、ハリファックス内だとどこででも見かけます。ピザ屋さんと一緒に置いてるのが一般的のようです。
