Oriberry là một công ty quan tâm khá sớm đến thị trường cafe kiểu “Tây” ở miền Bắc. Trong khi người dân Hà nội còn đắm đuối với Lâm, Giảng, Quất, Nhân..., giới văn phòng uống cafe hoà tan của Nescafe, G7... thì khoảng năm 2012-2013, Oriberry đã ra mắt hai cửa hiệu khiêm tốn ở Ấu Triệu và Xuân Diệu, vừa bán hạt cafe, vừa bán càe phục vụ khách uống tại chỗ.
Hạt cafe của Oriberry, theo giới thiệu của họ, là được thu mua trực tiếp từ người nông dân. 100% là hạt cafe Việt Nam, nhưng được chế biến theo kiểu “Tây”, tức là không có thêm phụ gia trong quá trình rang xay. Oriberry cũng đưa vào một tỷ lệ hạt arabica và rang kiểu medium, thay vì hoàn toàn robusta và rang dark (thậm chí very dark theo kiểu Việt).
Rông dài như vậy để kể cho các bạn thấy sự đam mê, nhưng cũng khá tỉnh táo trong kinh doanh của Oriberry (mà mình rất thích).
Có một lần mình mua hạt cafe trong Saigon (ở một nơi mà với mình là thích nhất Việt Nam, mình sẽ kể trong một bài khác), đem đến Oriberry nhờ xay hộ, bạn nhân viên ở Ấu Triệu lúc đầu hơi ngần ngừ, em phải xem cafe đã, cafe không ngon hỏng mất máy của chúng em. Tất nhiên sau khi kiểm tra xong thì bạn vui vẻ xay giúp mình, xong xuôi còn xin một shot pha uống thử! Mình cũng vui vẻ và kể cho bạn ấy chỗ mua hạt ở SG.
Oriberry có cafe pha máy espresso, drip (pour over) và cả pha phin kiểu Việt. Riêng địa điểm ở Xuân Diệu có cà phê trứng nhưng mình thấy không ngon (ai thèm cafe trứng thì cứ về Giảng gốc thôi).
Hạt cafe của Oriberry chưa phải ngon số 1 ở Việt Nam, nhưng với mức giá và cách làm của các bạn thì mình thấy rất ổn. Cà phê pha tại chỗ cũng vậy, tuy chất lượng barista không đều làm ảnh hưởng đến chất lượng cafe, nhưng tổng thể thì đều ở mức ổn.
