I created “The Frequency Of The Last Wave” in collaboration with #SchizoFunAddict for an original edition of first release album covers to their latest LP, The Last Wave, pressed on gorgeous clear volan/coke bottle green vinyl. All jackets were documented by @megsmylove, signed and numbered by yours truly during a very special visit from Jet Wintzer to my beach studio. I’m so proud of this group of artists- they’ve come so far and we have been at it for many years, weaving together. In 2003, I painted live with them at The Tribeca & performed on drums with them for an encore...they are the only band I’ve ever done that with. I’ve seen them tour/storm the LES NYC during the aughts outshining many & even attracting Ian Brown in the flesh during a gig #DonHills in 2005. It was an alive & bristling scene. Pure Magic with bands like #DeathOfFashion , Soft Explosions, Aerovox, The Blonds, Lotion, The Spectacle Experiment, Face Parade, so many killer live shows. Thanks for sharing it all with me. In the words of frontman/singer/songwriter/filmmaker/believer/dreamer: “The Last Wave is a dystopian romantic decision made by two lovers who meet in a bunker near the shore after love has been ruled illegal and all lovers deemed terrorists. Their options are run to the beach where they will be shot on site in a few days or surrender and be separated into work camps.
