‘Excitement’
Stephanie the foal is excited and happy as she experiences all manner of new and joyous things. Being pretty new to the world, it is also new and full of wonder to her.
She is one of the lucky ones. Born at The Donkey Sanctuary, she is guaranteed life long love and care at the facility or through one of its care programs.
By this virtue, she will never experience neglect, abandonment, fear or abuse from having the misfortune of being born a donkey in an over populated, human controlled world.

13/09/2016 Spike! Yearling Spike is too cute and he knows it! Spike (and his background story, fortunate enough to be born into love and care with his brother to rescued mares at the sanctuary) has featured on JDs before. He's a lovely, friendly, social donkey along with his half brother Jake.

These are my two new babies, as seen on 16th June 2015 on a small strip of inadequate bogland on a rundown isolated farmstead. Donks need dry land for their hooves and 24 hour shelter access from the elements; they had no shelter. They were unwanted, had no human contact and their future uncertain. I fell in love with them and have rescued them. I’m keeping their names as on their equine passports, I think they suit them. Oscar is caramel coloured and Harvey is chocolate.
