Hello! I hope you're having a good day! I just finished reading chapter 11 of "Beneath An Angry Sky", and I have a question!
So, in the meeting, the Hermits were trying to come up with a way to counteract what the Watchers were doing. Why has no one tracked the Watchers back to their base of operations to learn information that way? Or at least slapped some RFID tags on the Watchers to get some intel? Have the Hermits already tried that, and it simply didn't work?
I'm not meaning to poke holes in your plot! That's not my intention in the slightest! My brain has just been providing me with logical solutions to their problems, and I'm curious if there's a reason the Hermits haven't already tried these ideas.
hi!!!! no worries, I always love getting questions!!!!
no, the hermits haven't tried those things, but they did have a good reason why!! the watchers have their ability to See, as you know, and any way they might try to track the watchers would risk being found out too easily. if they trailed after the watchers, they would be able to See the hermits, and it would become an even worse battle - maybe even with casualties. same thing with RFID tags; the watchers are smart enough to know to look out for that, and anyways, the hermits usually don't get TOO close to the watchers because it's dangerous, so it would be tough to get the tag on them.
bottom line is, the watchers are far too aware and far to good at Watching to allow the hermits to try things like that. they've been trying to find some other measures, but....it hasn't really worked out, so far. that's why they need...let's say, an "outside source" to find the watchers ;)
thank you for the ask, dea!!!! :D
