This is gonna sound clinically insane which it is but the only part of parenthood that is actually appealing to me is the thought that I'd have a giant responsibility keeping me in check. Like I struggle to eat and sleep and not make stupid decisions unless I have to do that for someone else. I don't think I could ever really love the kid or enjoy parenting in any real emotional capacity but it would be really nice to have like, a form of external motivation to stay alive that doesn't come and go with my mood swings.
