i just wanna remind anyone who has ever been insulted or belittled or made to feel awkward or bad because you were infodumping about something you were passionate about: you weren’t the weirdo in that situation. your passions and hyperfixations are not strange and you’re not too much when you give people detailed responses to questions, or want to add in something you think others would find interesting or informative, or whatever reason you may infodump. only a weirdo looks at someone talking passionately about something they are invested in and goes “woah. this is so annoying.” you deserve to be able to share the things you love with others without fear of judgement or belittlement.
