1982 was a good year. Great songs never age.
There's too many people in this world to consider being them. You are enough. (The impact Peter Parker's story had on me)
Sometimes anger or frustration will lead you to finding unnecessary ways to confront embarrassment, insults, conflicts, and arguments and changes you to become someone you are not. You dont need to live believing you need to become better than others. You are all the person you need to be. There are too many people in this world for you to even consider becoming someone else. Too many of them, yet only one of you. That's why mistakes exist, so you can make them and help yourself learn from them. Dont let others influence you or disrespect you to the point you feel you need to change and then find out you hurt, disappointed, disrespected, and insulted others because you decided to treat everyone as if all of them are taking advantage of you or disrespecting you.
Peter Parker didn't need that black suit to be more powerful. He convinced himself he didn't need the original suit, so instead, he threw it away and let whoever he became in the symbiote suit become him. He then realized it just made him selfish, leading him to think of what he would get out of it and not consider others, whether they were good or bad. He eventually goes back to the original red and blue suit after realizing the hurt he caused good people and loved ones izncluding mistakes he made using the symbiote suit because he thought power he felt after getting fed up with the bad, made him feel stronger and forget what his intentions and motives were when choosing to live the life of a hero.
There are haters and people who are grateful for the good you do. All I can say is that in life, you are rewarded through your daily dealings because of the good you do and the intentions you carry. Although selfishness, being challeged, and getting provoked may make you react in a way that makes you feel superior, there is no need to go about your day convincing yourself you are owed something. I can learn from fictional super heros. Just have to wake up the kid inside me sometimes to remember also how fun it was to do good for others and remember how good it made me feel to help make a difference for others as well as my self..
There are enough of "them" in this world for us to be like someone else. Be you because YOU are enough.
Be you. Don't let anyone change you...
I've been told, and i do believe, that everything that happens is for a good reason. Whether in your mind and heart you felt hurt, used, taken advantage of, or the trust someone has or had in you has been lost for whatever the reason you've been given. I want to let those of us know that whatever or whoever is making you feel this way, know what your intentions are, your worth, and why you did what you did or do what you do. Only you know the truth, reason, intentions, and purpose of your action(s). Not anyone else.
So, if you're religious, you can take that up with your GOD. If you are just about doing the right thing, you can take that up with your conscious. Or you can use both, religion and conscious to know what you've done is not selfish.... or maybe it was. This leads me to want to say, what's right to or for you, may not be right for others. It's not anyone else's position to label you or judge you. As long as you are not causing harm physically, emotionally, consciously, or morally, what gives anyone else the power to tell you that you are wrong? I can almost sit here and guarantee the kindness in your heart and soul have probably been taken advantage of by the same person or people labeling you or judging you. It's not for you to allow anyone else to justify your actions.
Continue to be you. Don't let anyone be the cause of you changing. Know that whatever you did for someone else, is recognized and appreciated at least by you and that should be good enough. You did it cause it felt right for you and it doesn't matter what you will get out of it because its not the reason why you did it.
We are not broken, but could still use some fixing.
As gullible as I am, trustworthy as well, maybe even possess ignorance but towards myself, it allows many to take advantage of the goodness I carry within myself. My intentions is what gives my heart every reason to trust anyone. Why? Because I want to believe everyone has good intentions behind what they do and have people's best interests at heart and mind when it comes to us. We can be our worst enemy but how else will we learn from mistakes or accept and experience the good people do have to offer if we don't let them. It doesn't mean we need to change because of the negativity there is in the world or the experiences we were faced with. It only means we need to make ourselves more aware of those we introduce in our lives or come in contact with.
No one knows anyone's intentions until we experienced their good or their bad. It seems what happens to us is based on chance. All we need to do is increase the chances of experiencing the good in people. That would be left up to you to impact those around you like a ripple effect after a drop in the ocean does to the water around it. Let your actions and intentions be that ripple effect for the people around you...Make a difference.
