On Thursday, Michaela Pearson, 21, and Candice Little, 18, were shown on a Forsyth County jail live video feed in orange jumpsuits as they awaited their separate bond hearings with Judge Carrie Vickery. Vickery read off both of their charges with includes three felony counts each of intentional child abuse and three misdemeanor counts each of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. In total the charges could add up to 536 months in jail per person. Both bonds were set at $150,000. The appointed defense attorneys of women asked the judge to lower the bonds. State prosecutors told the judge, based on their research, it doesn't plan on pursuing the felony charges but doesn't want the bond to be lowered. Prosecutors believe because of the 'vile' nature of the video, even though the children don't belong to the women, the women still stand as 'dangers' to the children and society. The judge decided to lower the bonds to $100,000 for both Little and Pearson. Pearson is set to have a bond motion hearing on September 5th.
