… DID I TELL YOU ABOUT THE TIME I DELETED SOME PHOTOS I’D JUST HAD TAKEN? Well that was yesterday? Fuming with myself as it was my fault. To Delete, or Not to Delete?

Tinder.. the app that has forever changed the dating game for today’s singles. As any other curious young female, in 2015 I made the bold decision to create a Tinder, just to see what it was all about. So around January 2015 I signed up, and at first I was skeptical, I am still skeptical. 

As an Italian American raised strict Roman Catholic I’ve had a few moral dilemmas. Now, I am by far no goody-goody, but I’ve never quite been super care free when it comes to dating, hooking up, and all things sex related. However, as I’ve grown in my early twenties I have deff, let a little loose, and become a bit more adventurous, giving into modern female roles. 

Now, back to Tinder, I’ve matched a ton, talk about a confidence boost, but I have never quite done the whole Tinder hook-up, which until about three months ago was what I thought tinder was all about. Apparently, some people actually find love on Tinder. As a 23 year old, I often feel the pressures of feeling like I should try to settle down and get my life together, and then I remember I am only fucking 23, whose care if grandma doesn't get to see any great grand-kids anytime soon, right?

Well, according to my fantastic roommate, your early twenties is a time to embrace your sluttiness, his words not mine, for I do not believe in slut shaming, or that the word slut should even exist. But, back to sex, according to that same fantastic roommate, your sex life is up to the individual, and the early twenties is a perfect time to sleep with who ever, and the notches on a bed post, don’t matter.

So, to answer the title of my post, to delete tinder in 2016, or to embrace my early twenties and get back into the hook up scene, and maybe happen to stumble upon love... although I might have to lie to grandma about how we met.

I HAVE NOWHERE ELSE TO PUT THIS

My friend Olivia died our senior year of high-school and her favorite song was “Beautiful Things”. It’s an amazing song that I’m almost certain everyone in our senior class learned, so that we could remember Olivia. But honestly I had forgotten all about it until a few days ago. 10 days ago two more people from my class, who were my team-mates/brothers/friends, died in a car accident (pretty sure the guy that hit them was on something because LITERALLY ALL HE HAD WAS A BROKEN ARM from a wreck that knocked the wheels off the other vehicles car) on their way home from college soccer tryouts for their sophomore year. 

And I just found that song again. And I honestly think that they’re all somewhere singing that song together... And that’s the only thing keeping me happy about this whole situation. They’re singing together wherever they are.
