Summer hasn’t even ended yet and you have turned cold. My god I prayed that it wouldn’t just be a summer romance, but it seems like I was right about us. We live and die in the warm weather, we are more than we were. But for a split second I was enough. And now it seems like everything else never mattered, the edges of summertime were once so dull. Fall is here, and now it’s like a shard of glass has pierced me in the chest, right under the collarbone. We were young and we had it all, but now it’s time to move on. It’s time to get going, because there’s nothing holding me back anymore. And you were so much, perhaps you were too much for me and I didn’t want to admit it. I am nothing if not grateful to have shared this one with you.
