The separation wasn't clean. How could it be? They were one for so long, some sort of residual thought process convinces them both that they're still in the same body, if one dies so does the other type deal.

For Johnny it's this selfish thing of 'I need you here so I don't Not have you here'. He doesn't understand it. Doesn't understand why he now has to get his prosthetic serviced by Vic. All because he didn't get all the blood out properly from when he literally fisted a guys throat. Because they got too close to V.
