Except Armed and Ready is about her finding Ruby.

I don’t think it makes any sense to be about Ruby. The whole song is about the Adam incident, about Yang losing her arm. Ruby is a very important part of Yang’s life, but she was no part of what happened at the end of Volume 3. Why would Yang suddenly be talking about Ruby here? I don’t get it.

After all, the song is mainly about Adam:

It happens every night I watch my world ignite But there's no waking from this nightmare The stage is always set The place I can't forget The hidden eyes, that I can feel there

Hidden eyes, can’t be more obvious.

Remember all too well My time of living hell The night my enemy would conquer But now I've been set free Lived through the tragedy You'll wish you'd killed me; now I'm stronger!

Also about Adam. And the rest of the song is pretty much “I will kick your damn ass, Adam, so hard you’ll wish you never met me.

So the whole Ruby vs. Blake discourse is about this part:

My eyes are open wide I'm racing to her side There's nothing that I won't do for her But this is not a dream My mind repeats the scene I can't forget it and it's torture

I mean if you just look at the third line, yeah, I’d also say it’s about Ruby. But when you look at the context the rest of the song and the last three lines (we’ve seen Yang having a nightmare about Adam in one episode and the intro, who else could she possibly talking about) the stanza is about Yang not being able to forget about the moment Adam cut her arm off and then it makes absolutely no sense for her to talk about Ruby because Ruby had nothing to do with that incident. But Blake was there. It was Blake Yang was trying to safe in that very moment.

Why would she suddenly be talking about Ruby?
