DAY 1...
This was my first experience of job as a waitress in a restaurant. This is the fact of every organization that whenever any new person is admitted in the firm as an employee he/she faces discrimination among the old staff. I have also went through the same situation of bullying but I did not step back because I am a big piece of iron and I am able to be formed into a well furnished ornament.
As my superiors it was their responsibility to give knowledge and training about the work to me but their behavior was very weird. The co-worker was ignoring me without any reason and one of the chef was very cheap, he was trying to frank with me and was asking my phone number. I was treating him as my elder brother but his motive has not right. At that moment I was so scared and I immediately shared this problem with my boss and he take action on the chef. I feel proud about my braveness because our safety is in our hands and if somebody is suffering from any bad situation he/she should complain regarding the particular problem immediately. Workplace bullying can be both mental harassment or sexual harassment, and we are eligible to take action regarding harassment as per our Human Rights Act. Sometimes people discontinue their jobs to get rid from bullying but this is not the solution because may be they can go through the same situation in other workplace therefore the best solution is using our Safety Acts so that culprit will get punishment for the crime.
