it’s a certain point of time during the 3 week honeymoon period. martin enters the kitchen when jon is cooking. they talk, and bicker, and laugh with each other. it’s quiet and lovely. the pot boils. jon lowers the heat.

martin mentions a poem he wrote that he’d like jon to read. “bit rusty, but. tried my best!”

jon leans against the counter. “let’s hear it, then.”

martin colors (”i meant - you read it, not-”). jon smiles (”i’d like if you read it.”). martin clears his throat and says the words aloud.
