The beautiful #DooLoughValley in Co. Mayo is a famine memorial ground marked with a plain stone cross marked "Doolough Tragedy 1849". An annual walk is held to remember those that died and to highlight starvation of the world's poor to the present day. We came upon this site driving along the #Mweelrea mountain and #SheeffreyHills.
