It's July! You made it! This is not the official "Ze End" post (I'll make that in about a week), but I just wanted to acknowledge that June of Doom 2026 has finished!
But if you haven't, please keep creating! The AO3 collection will also remain open indefinitely. If you have a master list with all 30 prompts, tag @juneofdoom and I'll reblog it with a #2026 masterlist tag.
There will likely be a few changes next year.
This challenge has exceeded my wildest expectations and grown so much. As I am the only one running it, it's been taxing keeping up with stats, since people post in different places and I end up hunting every corner of the internet to reblog because I want your hard work recognized! That said, I burned myself out a bit with the volume of work this year.
So, starting next year, I think I will only reblog and track entries that actually tag the blog. Scrolling through all the variants of the #june of doom tag gets time-consuming. Cross-checking stats, even more so. The other option is to make this a blog open to submissions, but I'm afraid that will somehow invite bots at this point.
So, from now on, if you want to be reblogged here, just tag!
Thank you all so much for your patience and understanding. I am so happy to be doing this with you all, and I want to keep having fun while I do it! You've all said such kind things in the exit poll, and I'm full to bursting. 💕
