So do Doom Vipers have Rahkshi heads, or do Rahkshi have Doom Viper heads?
Chirox’s Rahi
Chirox enjoyed creating vicious, destructive Rahi, and could even be described as excellent towards it; His Visorak Horde, Chirox’s Magnum Opus, was frequently praised by his peers as the ideal hunters and killers. However…
That’s all Chirox and his Rahi really knew how to do- Destroy. From a utilitarian, conquerer’s perspective, Visorak, Doom Vipers, and Catapult Scorpions are brilliant creatures and inventions. But from the perspective of someone trying to create a functioning ecosystem, precariously balanced amongst multiple species who both take but also contribute? Chirox’s Rahi are utterly useless… All they do is destroy and selfishly take, they do not give nor contribute anything with their existence. Chirox’s creations often times come across as meaningless because of this… Death for the sake of death.
Chirox tried to adapt by introducing the Visorak Horde to various ecosystems, to prove the existence of one where they COULD fit in, and co-exist with others. Unfortunately, his failures just contributed to the spread of the genocidal spiders and led to mass death and destruction. Swallowing his pride just once, Chirox commissioned one of his fellow Makuta to create a Rahi species specifically tailored to co-existing with his Visorak… Thus, the Colony Drones were born! Besides that, however, his Rahi weren’t very adaptable, and had a hard time fitting into any ecosystem, or collaborating with any species that wasn’t specifically made with them in mind.
I'm going to make a guess: The random empty ship that was filled with doom vipers was an early attempt by you or someone else to destabilize Metru Nui.
No, that was not my doing; that ghost ship arrived long before I set my initial Plan into motion. To this day, its origin and purpose remain a mystery even to me.
Headcanon that the natives of Spherus Magna are immune to the toxic breath weapon of the Doom Viper as their biology is not protodermis based. To them it’s just a particularly bad tempered and very gassy snake with a few extra heads.
