Leon has a Nightmare Short Rp starter
It was 02:34. Leon woke up drenched in sweat, the kind that clung to his skin and left him shaking. The nightmares were always the same in different scenes : being hunted, trying to save someone and failing, or dying with his eyes open. This time he’d been running for his life, and the only way to survive was to stay perfectly silent—no breath, no twitch, not even a flinch as the thing drew near. In the dream it had leaned in close enough that he could feel its weight on the air, and Leon had bitten down on a scream until his teeth ached.
He jolted upright and kicked the blankets away. Heart hammering, he grabbed one and jammed it against the bedroom window like fabric could stop whatever had followed him out of sleep.
“Gotta keep ’em out,” he rasped. “Fuck… and I haven’t even been drinking. Fuck—drinking kept the nightmares away. When I drank, I didn’t dream. Goddamn it, I swore to Ada I’d work on it… but Chris would tell me to drink.”
He kept muttering, forcing the words out like a metronome, trying to steady his breathing before the dark could swallow him again. Soon enough the man would spiral if he didn’t call for help. Leon wasn’t one to do that.
Sleep wasn’t something that happened with Ada often. She would be lucky if she slept for two hours, it became a habit from nights of missions when sleeping was a liability. Though this wasn’t something she had disclosed with Leon, not even when she had been staying with him to try and get him through his breakdown.
Instead, when he went to bed she always did the small things. Cleaning and disposing of the piles that had accumulated while he was drinking. He didn’t seem to question it, therefore explaining it was unnecessary.
The woman usually in the highest form of fashion, silks and lace was replaced with a cotton black NIN tshirt and a pair of cloth shorts. Something comfortable for the night, even her face was bare showing the soft lines of exhaustion on her gentle face.
The air shifted, Ada wasn’t anything more than a human however her instincts told her something wasn’t right. A small twist in the pit of her stomach, a sense of dread. She walked over to the closed room,
At first her palm touched the door, observing wondering if she was just over reacting. Then she heard Leon’s voice through the door and she didn’t hesitate.
Stepping inside she seen him, the way he was starting to sink. She didn’t speak, a dangerous move she was willing to take it wasn’t like she couldn’t handle if he lost himself.
Soft hands moved into his hair from the back, nails scratching his scalp slowly. A small touch at first, something to shock his mind and focus on the pulse in which her hands moved. “You’re doing so well, Leon.” Her voice was low to give a calming effect. “Count with me. One, Two, Three.”
