I havent looked at myself in the mirrior for about a week now. Inseas i have been asking strangers to describe me while i sketch their descriptions. I wanted to observeve the relationship between what we notice and whaf we see.

Naturally, got rejected plenty of times because of valid reasons. But the goal of getting atleast one sketch a day was accomplished.

As i was conducting this experiment, i found these strangers noticed things about me that i previously didn't. And they didn't notice things that i notice everyday, like the scar on my forehead.

I asked myself, is the use of the mirror just to find imperfections? If we knew we were perfect would we look in the mirror? Would the mirror lose its purpose?

This experiment taught me that we are all in essence a mirror. Except we can do more than notice the flaws.

Ask yourself, if beauty is in the eye of the beholder then why do we only look for flaws in ourselves when looking in the mirror? What kind of beholder are we?
