crazy how a trans person can say they want to be gendered correctly and being viewed and treated as their agab makes them sad and some undercooked meat sac will be like "actually you're enforcing gender roles fuck you". man how did we get so "progressive" we just circled around and got transphobic again 🥀
I guess Will Smith is good luck for Mack

Carol and Kamala's team ups are kind of frustrating because at least one of them usually gets hit with really regressive and/or reductive writing. So many writers still depict Kamala as some sort of fangirl sidekick fawning over Captain Marvel even though a core part of her character arc was embracing her identity, becoming her own hero and gaining a more critical perspective of the woman she used to idolize. Meanwhile, Carol in Kamala's comics is mostly used as an almost symbolic embodiment of a hegemonic white female superhero. Which works very well for the story and themes that GWW is going for, but it does mean that Carol is in truth more of a narrative device than an actual character and tends to come across as a fairly one dimensional caricature of a pro-establishment authority figure.
If Dottore isn't playable, I'm going full cold-hearted Tsartisa on this bitch ass game and dumping all my primos into her instead so I can rip whichever villains a new one. Gib me your Abyssal powers...
so oliver cunliffe makes wednesday cast to be composed of 24 characters. be ready for shallow characterization, bland personalities and a storyline that makes little to sense because that's a lot of people for an 8 episode per season show
I wonder whose screen time will suffer from this and my guess is enid's, bianca's e agnes'. not counting how bland they'll make the addams family, if they even appear at all, and how they're introducing mainly new guys so.....yeah...this will suck
To paraphrase a sentiment I have seen crop up a lot in fandom discourse: "They are rushing through The Vampire Lestat to get to Queen of the Damned."
yup, it sure seems like it, but at this point I don't know what they are even going to do with that material once they get there, what themes are found in that book that they are so desperate to speedrun to and that they just cannot find in TVL.
More focus on Lestat being sexually and emotionally manipulated by an evil, predatory woman, only now with Akasha taking Gabriella's place? What the hell are they going to do with Louis? Much as part of me would love it, I highly doubt they are going to dedicate an entire episode to Devil's Minion. With the writers already having so much trouble meaningfully balancing the current size of the cast, how much space and time will be even given to the Twins and their stories and Akasha's background by extension?
