Oh do I have a story for you today 😂🙆🏻‍♂️ So the fam and I went to the Doota Mall (which was huge btw) and they had a bunch of really cute stores like artbox and line friends . Anyways, they had a ton of really cute merch - stuffed animals, accessories, bags, etc based on the line characters 🙆🏻‍♂️ we spent a bunch of time just browsing and geeking out over the stuff they had lolololol . In one corner of the store, we found this super cute line bear wearing a dino suit and I wanted to buy it because, well, no particular reason other than I thought it was very unique and adorable xD The thing is, I couldn’t find any boxed/new ones around the store, just the one that was up for display . So I ask the lady at the register if I could find more of them and, if there weren’t any, if I could purchase the one on display . Not only did she take the dinobear from me, she hugged/squeezed it and gave me a little glare and said that they were not for sale and I couldn’t even purchase the one the was on display 😐 ??? My sister and I were so confused...like what just happened LOL . So anyways, we leave the store to explore more of the mall and I was like nbd, it’s just a stuffed dinobear. BUT we came across an extension of that line store AND THEY HAD LIKE A BAJILLION OF THEM so yea, I ended up buying one xD . But I was also a bit irritated at that lady working the register that was hella possessive of the dinobear on display and told me there weren’t any available in the mall 😡 so I plotted my super petty plan: . I was gonna walk by the line store on my way out of the mall and walk within sight of that lady so I can make eye contact. Then, I was gonna slowly lift up my fresh new in-box dinobear from my bag and slowly shake my head as I stared her down 😂😂😂 I told @cassandra.chu about the plan and we both agreed it would be hilarious . I ended up not doing it tho 😂 It was too petty and spiteful for me to actually consider doing, but we had a good laugh about it xD . The mall dedicated one whole floor for the DoTS. They imitate the set of the drama to lure tourists with theme photo zones and drama souvenirs. South Korea: Land of Dreams (3rd Day=New day, New Experiences!(1))

3rd Day=New day, New Experiences!(1)

Seperti yang sudah aku bilang sebelumnya, karena hari ini Fairuz ada sesuatu hal yang berkaitan dengan kuliahnya jadi dia nggak bisa temenin dari pagi. Dan dikarenakan aku dan Bunda nggak rela cuma tinggal di guesthouse nungguin Fairuz (karena itu artinya ada waktu yang terbuang), kita pun memberanikan diri untuk berangkat sendiri ke Dongdaemun. Sebelumnya udah dikasih tau Fai sih gimana cara naik keretanya dan harus turun di mana, pun bagaimana cara keluar dari stasiun buat menuju Doota Mall, tujuan pertama kita hari itu, buat ngejar Line Store, tapi ternyata itu cuma Line Store kecil huuuu. Aku lupa sih, waktu itu harus keluar di pintu apa, tapi yang pasti di sana banyak petunjuk arah kok. Dan sesampainya di pintu keluar aku tanya gitu ke security hotel (jadi di atas stasiun itu hotel gitu) dengan nunjukin foto Doota Mall haha, yang meskipun dia jutek tapi tetep ditunjukin arah jalannya.

Kita pun berjalan ke arah Doota Mall, dan ternyata sebelum sampai ke sana sudah ada kios-kios kecil dan pedagang kaki lima. Aku dan Bunda pun tergoda dengan pedagang kaki lima yang menjual kaos kaki-kaos kaki lucu, serius deh lucu-lucu banget, kita pun mebeli beberapa untuk oleh-oleh, harganya sekitar 1000 won. Habis dari penjual kaos kaki kita pun menemukan tempat yang menjual oleh-oleh seperti yang ada di Gwangjang Market, dan harganya ternyata lebih mahal. Akhirnya, kita pun sampai di Doota Mall, tujuan utama sih makan dulu, dan yaaa…Cuma Burger King yang kayaknya memungkinkan buat kita makan, itu pun nggak yakin-yakin banget sih sebenernya haha. Sudah makan kita pun lanjut keliling mall, sayangnya harganya nggak sesuai budget kita. Kita pun memutuskan untuk keluar dari mall dan berniat untuk foto-foto saja di luar sambil menunggu Fai.

Herannya, aku dan Bunda susah banget untuk keluar dari mall itu. Kita tuh nggak nemu-nemu pintu keluarnya. Sampai akhirnya kita pun bertanya ke salah satu penjual di situ, dan ternya pintu keluarnya malah mengarah ke underground market gitu. Aduh, kita kan semakin tergoda ya… Di bawah sana banyak banget yang jual K-Pop thingy, baju-baju autumn lucu, sepatu, tas, dan lain-lain yang harganya lebih murah dari di Doota Mall. Kita nggak belanja banyak sih haha, karena memang belum waktunya aja, wkwk. Setelah itu kita pun keluar. Di halaman Doota Mall tersedia banyak tempat duduk dan banyak juga burung merpati yang berterbangan. Kita pun memutuskan untuk istirahat dan berfoto. Ternyata…di halaman Doota Mall sedang ada semacam demo gitu. Hanya saja, yang aku bingung tuh demo tapi sepi banget, hanya bawa spanduk dan hanya satu orang yang bicara, dan nggak mengganggu orang-orang di sekitar, jadi kita masih tetap bisa istirahat di bangku-bangku di sana.

Sambil duduk-duduk, aku sudah menyiapkan kupon promo dari Korea Great Sale untuk di tukar di booth yang ada di halaman Doota Mall. Jadi untuk turis kita bisa menukar kupon softcopy yang kita punya (aku waktu itu download di website KTO) dengan satu botol minuman gingseng, kupon-kupon diskon, dan sample-sample make up yang di package dalam sebuah plastic map, lumayan banget kaaan…Setelah bosan hanya duduk-duduk saja akhirnya aku sama Bunda menyebrang jalan menuju sebuah gedung dengan desain unik yang di depannya terdapat sederet tiang bendera yang sebenarnya menjadi tempat janjian aku, Bunda, dan Fairuz karena aku benar-benar hanya mengandalkan wifi, hehehe.
