How incredibly unsurprising that that didn't work. She hardly expected it to. This... thing, floating and cold as it was, was obviously not the type to give up his endeavors simply because he was asked to. Still, she should find a way to rid herself of him sometime soon. His presence alone was unnerving.

She would reel away from you, or at least as much as she could on the couch while you were leaning over the back. She would try to keep that curious book from your grasp, but you weren’t one to give up so easily. You pulled yourself further over the couch to make your attempts to swipe the novel from her to no avail. And, as a result, you went right to the next best thing you could think of—tickling. Anything to resolve your curious mind, you supposed.
It was fun and games, laughs and giggles when he'd reached for the book and couldn't quite grasp it. She'd opened her mouth to playfully chastise him. Up until the tickling came and it had a high shrill of laughter -- more a squeal than anything, really -- falling from her lips as she scrambled to get away from his wiggling fingers. The book went tumbling from her grasp onto the floor as she squirmed. "N-NO!" Came the squeaked out word as she laughed uncontrollably, hands pushing to get his fingers away from her sides. Never mind that his hands were absolutely freezing or the fact that she'd basically pinned herself against the arm of the couch.
❞Ex'rsizin' ghosties, huh?" There he went, leaning his entire body forward without so much the care to hiding. Hands made to reach for the aforementioned book and get a better look-see for himself. "Lemme see."
Oh the playful expression that flitted across her features when she scooped up the book and held it out of his reach would have had her laughing had she not been attempting to keep the silly little novel out of his reach. "Gimme gimme never gets, ghostie!"
