Hey so you know how in Riptide 114 the only reason that Gillion was still alive was because he casted Death Ward on himself?

Like what would happen if he didn't, do you think Grizzly was planning on actually killing the original Gillion?

What if Grizzly's initial plan was to Rolan-ify DoppelGilly?

Do you think that DoppelGilly was originally supposed to be the only thing left of Gill, both for Charlie to pc, and for Jay and Chip to desperately be stuck with this thing that is Gillion but NOT, trying to deal with the death and replacement of their friend, and DoppelGilly was supposed to be this other being with the same memories of his friends but not fully, and he still sees them the same way but they view him as "other", but he is still the closest and only thing left of Gillion, and wouldnt that be so fucked up?

giggling so bad. if i had a nickel for every time the character created, born, and raised to be a hero was cloned and that clone impersonated him to his friends with the intention of tearing down his group to stop them from being a threat to a menacing government agency and his friends didnt notice hed been replaced until the clone made his move to attack them, i would have two nickels. which isnt a lot. but its weird that it happened twice 😭

I've seen a few people mixing this up so I thought I'd help clarify.

Gillion did not lose memories when doppelgilly was made.

The reason why "Gillion" woke up from the procedure having forgotten something important, is because he wasn't Gillion, he was doppelgilly.

Doppelgilly wasn't made with all of Gillion's memories, he said it himself, so don't worry too much about Gillion potentially regressing in character development, it was his clone that was missing memories.
