Her living quarters happened to be situated under a shopping district. It was like every teen girl's dream. Well, every normal teen girl's dream.
Doreen herself was feeling quite small and alone, even as she watched the people mill about from her vantage point in one of the twiggy trees that dotted the landscape. Kavi dozed idly around her neck like a furry scarf, and she couldnt blame him. She was mentally exhausted as well, but the nerves of being in a strange place was keeping her buzzing with energy.
One of the days she'd spot someone she recognized. Or she'd spend months scoping this place and not finding anyone. But she was an optimist. She'd spot someone. Or something. Or find her way home. In fact, if her eyes didn't deceive her, there was an incredibly familiar face milling about the crowd. One that she'd watched on Television for years. One that decorated posters in her bedrooms.
"Pard! Er-Iron Man! Er! Mister Stark!" The words came out in a rush and she was out of the tree and practically sprinting through the crowds towards him.
She nearly crashed into the man, and Doreen's tail was in her hands, being twisted nervously as her cheeks flushed. She took a deep breath, glancing up at him. "Oh, you're here, you're really here!" Her tail was immediately released and whipped excitedly behind her. "If you're here, does that mean the rest of the Avengers are here? I'm not alone?" Her expression brightened as she continued to ramble without pause. "Oh that's awesome, I was so scared because I dont have Tippy Toes and I only have Kavi here and everything and I dont know if my powers are working right and I dont even know if there's actually squirrels in this place who would have thought a city without squirrels and-"
Kavi chittered chidingly at Doreen, and the ginger fell silent once more, her tail once again in her hands. She buried her face in the fur in embarassment, making a small noise before glancing up at him. "I'm sorry Mister Stark. I-I shouldnt be bothering you, you're probably busy."
