The ginger was rolling about on the grass in the small park, breathing in the delightful scent of earth and grass and nature. It was so much better than all the buildings and concrete. Even Kavi was enjoying himself, skittering up the trees that dotted the park, collecting the nuts and stuffing them in his cheeks.
A shot zipped up her spine and Doreen sat up and held her breath.
She was up the tree, scrabbling on the branches and emerald eyes wide before the man had even passed by her. Her tail was bristling, flicking agitatedly behind her.
The girl was squeaking nervously, peering down from her branch at the dog man. "Hi there I'm sorry please don't eat me?"
