“Oh, yeah, I love doing that. It makes me happier when I can just dream about other things and pretend shit is different, you know? It’s nice to get a break.”

“You know, despite everything, I’m still as Christian as my mama raised me to be. Can’t shake it.”

“I figure I am. I like to be heard, and I have a lot to say. Beyond that, I like to convince other people to see things from my point of view, you know? People can do a lot with their words.”

“Definitely. My entire person is a break from traditions and cultural norms where I was from, and I didn’t wanna conform. Caused a lot of problems for me, and I got into a lot a’ fights. Makes me feel more rebellious when people tell me how I’m supposed to be or what I oughta do.”

“I mean, it’s alright. I like the sound, and the smell, but I don’t like the sand or swimming so much.”

“I like ‘em and all, but I’m very allergic to most of them so I can’t spend a lot of time with them. But I love dogs! Whenever I run into one, I always pet them, even if I have an allergic reaction afterwards...”
