I would love 2, 14, 17, 20, 29, 44, and 56 for both Philippe and Armand please and thank you!
Guess who’s giving me work again
My fave girl on this website of course
2: What is your character's favorite memory?
Philippe: Most probably all the memories he had with his mother, before she died.
Armand: When he got accepted in the orchestra of the Opera of Paris.
14: What is the cutest thing your character has ever done?
Philippe: Probably taking care of his brother all short, as he is so incredibly devoted to him.
Armand: He writes love letters. With purple prose in it. Might even add scent to them.
17: Does your character have any irrational fears?
Philippe: Seeing ropes makes him anxious.
Armand: No irrational fear I know of.
20: What is the most surprising thing about your character?
Philippe: I’m pretty sure he got kissed by a boy once. Once. (He did not like it much).
Armand: How mean he can be at times, especially with women.
29: What would be your character's favorite food?
I truly.. have no idea for either of them... probably something very fancy?
44: What is your character proud of?
Philippe: Probably the way he got his life sorted out - raising his brother, creating a family of his own, ensuring enough revenue in the house, etc.
Armand: His general army career.
56: What's one of your character's quirks?
Philippe: As soon as he got glasses, he started rubbing at his nose to readjust them - even when he didn’t wear them, aka most of the time.
Armand: The end of his moustache twitches a little when he’s upset.
Thanks for the ask!!

Saw Pan’s Labyrinth in illustration class once. I’ve never been the same.
I AM PERMANENTLY SCARRED BY THIS MOVIE
Hi, Renaissance, Mannerism, and Baroque for the art ask please!
art history themed prompts ! (aka kay’s dream come true) thanks for the ask <3 @doriengris
renaissance: who would you have been in another life, and why?
okay i just made the post about him but i will say it anyways because after having read up on him i’m sure i would have been josef hladký (1885 -- 1960). this gay man was an idealist. such a bloody idealist that insisted on running a publishing house because he was such a bibliophile. he didn’t even have the spirit for running a thing like that for money. he did it because he liked books. and yeah. in the bloody 30′s he wanted to make a gay publishing house happen. -- for this he considered the name Ephebe or Syrinx. in the end it was named Anacreon tho :’) what a loon. what a dreamer. i love him. here’s my brief post about the gay publishing house and what happened to it.
mannerism: do you remember your weirdest dream, what was it?
there once was a moon that experienced horrible sandstorms as well as the tragedy of up to three of their children being kidnapped on a ray of light once every... i don’t know how often. the thing is, the people are terrified, everything is primitive and stuck in the 1400′s. they know of a monster that resides on the planet they satelite around. and in comes a team of scientists to help them work it out. except. the scientists don’t know jackshit either. cut to the planet, the children are put into schools and taught and raised better. the planet’s year is around the 3000s, there’s technology and really just better life standards. the monster helps raising children in such a way that they could one day potentially take care of their families up on that moon. no one knows this. it was a weird dream of knowing both sides of the story as an onlooker whilst seeing the humans fucking it up for themselves mmm
baroque: what’s the most dramatic show or movie you’ve ever seen?
no piece of visual media will ever be as dramatic as oscar wilde’s only novel, the masterpiece of purple prose and aestheticism, the picture of dorian gray, published in 1890 respectively, though once more only in 2011 in its full uncensored glory
You best bet I’m going to ask about Philippe for the character ask and the numbers are: 2, 5, 7, 12, 16, 19, 22, 27, 30, 35, and 41 I need it For Research please and thank youu
You nerd,
OC meme for Philippe Lacroix, a straight, Catholic, French army officer whom Isabelle is married to for some reason.
2: Do they have any daily rituals?
The usual things men do, aka taking breakfast, (making one for your lazy brother), washing up, shaving, and praying for the glory of France.
5: Cleanliness habits (personal, workspace, etc.)
Philippe is very, very, very clean and perfectionist in every point. He will probably spend hours making sure his room and office are perfect (ESPECIALLY his office) since he must show the example.
7: Favorite way to waste time and feelings surrounding wasting time
He doesn’t like wasting time. At all. He thinks that nothing he should be doing should be related to wasting time. But if he does waste time, it’s probably by taking a nap.
12: Favorite book genre?
He probably loves philosophy books? Else, he really likes adventure books like Jules Verne’s.
16: Biggest and smallest long term goal?
Settling down with his family, I think?
19: What do they think about before falling asleep at night?
“What the bloody hell is Armand doing up there?” probably
22: Given a blank piece of paper, a pencil, and nothing to do, what would happen?
He would probably do some maths for business purposes (no wasting time, remember?)
27: What is their biggest regret?
Not being able to keep either his mother or father from dying, which is why he is so protective with his brother.
30: Reaction to sudden intrapersonal disaster (eg close family member suddenly dies)
He tends to work very, very hard then, to try to take his mind off it.
35: What activities do they enjoy, but consider to be a waste of time?
Taking a nap as I said, reading books not directly related to his job, spending hours at a restaurant to take a meal, etc...
41: Hobbies?
He likes golf like every rich man ever, gardening, and going to exhibitions, theatre, opera.
Thanks for the ask!
