Imagine Chanyeol watching hours of YouTube documentaries about Taoist hermits. He stretches out his arms, then leans back in his chair with a smile.
“What a life.”
Imagine Chanyeol hearing that Kyungsoo's favourite candy is Skittles. "Time to be the rainbow," Chanyeol whispers as he clenches bottles of dye in his hands. Just in time for the comeback.
Imagine Chanyeol signing up for a Youtube account. He stays up all night, dedicated to making a playlist consisting of exactly 600 videos, each and every one being Kyungsoo’s teaser for their comeback.
He would have added more, but he reaches the video limit, plus Junmyeon has been yelling at him to go to sleep since 3am.
Imagine Chanyeol watching with wide eyes as his laptop crashes. After seconds pass into minutes, he’s still silent, in disbelief that all of his work, an ENTIRE SUMMER’S worth of work, has gone down the drain. He would have to go back to the beginning, picking up the shards of his life’s efforts as he learns a very valuable lesson to take the time to review work before moving on full-speed ahead because something totally unexpected could happen.
Chanyeol’s still brewing, unsure of whether to laugh or cry. The members aren’t sure what to do, and even Kyungsoo is nervous at how quiet Chanyeol has become.
“Looks like your virus is infectious, Happy Virus,” Kyungsoo jokes, nudging Chanyeol.
With Kyungsoo cracking a joke, he was guaranteed to laugh.
This time, he did not.
Imagine Chanyeol making secret plans to buy tickets to watch Kris in his new action Hollywood blockbuster. He uses his laptop’s private browsing feature, pays using his sister’s credit card, and selects a movie showing time for late, late at night so that no one from the group catches on. Ever since Kris left, the members have been too busy to talk about him and how they felt, which is why Chanyeol’s hesitant to bring him up in conversation. He isn’t sure if anyone else misses him as much he does.
The night he sneaks out, filling his bed with pillows and hearing the sound of Kyungsoo’s and Jongin’s snores, he makes it to the theatres smoothly and watches the entire movie in awe. After enjoying the film thoroughly, he takes care to get back into the dorms without getting caught.
He makes it into his room, still hearing the sound of his roommates’ snores. Thankfully, it didn’t seem that the other members noticed his absence.
A few minutes later, he hears a series of opening and shutting of doors, muffled footsteps, and groaning of beds. About six times--each of them a few minutes apart.
His own bedroom door opens and closes as Jongin or Kyungsoo, or both of them, actually, tiptoe to their beds, muttering, “oh thank god, he’s still asleep.” The snoring stops with the click of a tape recorder.
They all lie silently in their beds, and Chanyeol has a strong urge to ask them loudly if they loved the movie like he did. He doesn’t, though, because he already has a feeling that he knows the answer.
“I’m proud of how far he’s come,” Chanyeol whispers to his pillow. “Even if I miss him.”
As he’s drifting off to sleep, he barely hears the soft reply.
“Me, too.”
Imagine Chanyeol shutting himself in the supply closet with a laptop, a set of headphones, and a mirror. He plans to watch and copy Kyungsoo’s acting parts in “It’s Okay That’s Love,” as well as in “EXO Next Door,” in order to improve his own acting. After multiple failed attempts to see his own reflection in the mirror, he gives up and searches videos of squishy soo instead.
Imagine Chanyeol pushing Kyungsoo’s buttons. His lapel buttons. After approximately thirty two pushes (Chanyeol counts very diligently), Kyungsoo gives in to Chanyeol’s attention by giving him his third pummeling that day, very annoyed. It especially doesn’t help when Chanyeol tries to apologize on national television.
“I must say, Kyungsoo here is certainly unique. He has what we call circle quality,” Chanyeol wraps an arm around Kyungsoo.
Kyungsoo smiles shyly.
“Circle because he’s the opposite of star. He’s the only one of us who doesn’t give out that ‘I’m an awesome rockstar-idol’ kind of vibe, ya know?”
That earns Chanyeol a fourth.
Imagine Chanyeol saying goodnight to each member by placing his hands to their ears and excitedly clapping out the beat of his rap solo in “Call me Baby.” He always leaves Kyungsoo for last so that he has time to run away from him. Having recently become roommates with Jongin and Kyungsoo gives him mixed emotions, though, since he has a better chance of developing their friendship but is also more likely to get caught and beat up by Kyungsoo.
