Kiri placed the finishing touch that completed his costume on top of his head and then looked at himself in the mirror for a moment. He couldn’t help but laugh at the silly sight of himself dressed as a bottle of ketchup. It might have been the greatest costume ever and he was happy to have stumbled upon it. Why go with something scary when humor was an option? He couldn’t wait to joke around with his classmates about how silly it was.

His phone chimed and he quickly realized that it would be awkward to check if he got a phone call or anything while in the costume. He pulled his right arm back though the hole so that he could dig around his pants pocket until he found what he was looking for. He glanced at himself and then chuckled softly when he saw that he was now a one-armed bottle of ketchup. It was even more ridiculous and he loved it.

He finally managed to get his phone out of his pocket and his arm out of the hole so he could check it. It was a text, no, just as he saw that two more hit his phone. It was, in fact, three texts. All from his wonderful, sparky boyfriend.

Normally Denki's texts had a lot more emojis and autocorrect fails so Kiri couldn’t help but be a little bit concerned by the weird messages. He hurried from his room so that he could go check on the silly blond that was probably making a big deal out of nothing. He assured himself that nothing was wrong as he very nearly ran to where the Halloween party was being held.

He could hear the sound of loud music playing as he approached the gym and he swore that he could actually smell the sugar from all the sweets that were available to snack on. After he finally stepped foot into the gym he needed a moment to catch his breath as he scanned the room for any sign of- "Ah!"

Kiri spotted the yellow mustard bottle rather quickly and he was very glad that they'd gone with such eye-catching and ridiculous outfits because of it. He jogged over to the blond just in time to see him wave his phone in the air and exclaim, "Did someone spike the punch!"

Kiri tapped the blond on the arm and watched as he jumped before he finally turned towards him and smiled. His breath caught in his throat for a moment as he watched Denki's smile light up his whole face and then his eyes start to sparkle happily. There was no greater feeling in the world than knowing that he was the cause of Denki glowing like that, Kiri was absolutely sure of it.

"Babe!" Denki shrieked and then wrapped his arms around him.

Kiri was quick to return the hug as he asked, "Hey. Is everything alright? Those were some weird messages you sent."

"Oh, yeah, sorry about that. I was trying to tell you about this sound I heard and then I fumbled and dropped my phone into the punch, which someone totally spiked!" Denki explained. He pulled his arm into his costume and put his phone into his pants pocket. He'd check on it later since right now he just wanted to enjoy the party.

Kiri turned to look at the mummy behind the table that groaned loudly and shook his head. He looked back at Denki and assured him, "That's not possible with Mr. Aizawa watching over it, babe. So just forget about that conspiracy theory and let's dance."

Denki let himself be pulled away as he continued to blather on about how it would be possible if there were two people so one could distract their teacher, or if someone had an alcohol making quirk. He smiled when Kiri laughed loudly and pulled him close so that he could kiss his forehead. If there was one person he could always count on to continue to smile through his crazy theories, it was the redhead and he wouldn’t have it any other way. He smiled and started to dance happily with his incredible boyfriend without a care in the world.
